Luke 10 Exploration Trip to Ecuador and Greece- How You Can be Praying

The second and third Luke 10 Exploration Trips in 2022 will be departing on May 30! There are ten Luke 10 Exploration Trips to ten different countries/people being planned in 2022 as EFM discerns where new mission fields will be launched as part of EFM’s Five-Year Goal! See more information here.

The Luke 10 Exploration Trip to the Shuar People of Ecuador travels May 30-June 16. Team leader, Ken Comfort (NWYM), along with Jerry and Kerri Clarkson (NWYM), Maria and Edwin Giron (Maria is EFM’s Missions Mobilizer for Hispanic Friends), future missionary Rebecca Reimer (EFC-MAYM), future missionary Jael Ayala (EFC-Mexico), and Beatriz Apaza (Bolivia) make up this scouting team.

Pray for sufficient funds for the team’s trip costs. Pray for the missions-sending vision among Friends in Bolivia. Pray for Beatriz from Bolivia, for her logistics in joining up with the team in Macas, Ecuador. Pray for the safety of this group in the many miles of travel on jungle roads and rivers. Pray that their health and strength as they move at the prompting of the Spirit. Pray for the members of this team who are sensing a call to missions, that the Holy Spirit would continue to nudge and equip for the ministry that lies before them.

The Luke 10 Exploration Trip to Greece travels May 30-June 10. Team leader Jim LeShana (NWYM), Kenn Dirrim (missionary serving among refugees in Greece), Ron Maestas (FSW), Jan Cammack (NWYM), and future missionaries Josiah Muhr (NWYM) and Libby Penrose (EFC-MAYM) make up this exploration team.

 

Pray for good health for the team as the country’s COVID protocols have changed. Friends have a sense that the need is great in the country of Greece for church planting among Islamic refugees. Pray that the Lord will give us discernment to know if evangelical Friends are the ones who need to say “yes” to step up, take the lead, and start planting churches there. Pray that the Lord will help the team to find and interact with the right individuals who can help to provide a deeper understanding of the need in the country, and a potential pathway forward for planting churches and ministering effectively with Islamic refugees. Pray that the Lord will help the team with needed logistics as they go. Pray for the continued sense of unity and discernment for this team, including members they are calling “the home team” who will not be traveling to Greece. Pray for special discernment for each team member’s personal sense of call in this exploration, including those who are seriously praying about whether they might become part of a team of career church planting missionaries in the country of Greece with refugees.
