I am excited to share with you a significant milestone. The Liddell family—Fred, Jonelle, and their children Alexander (Alex) and Jael—have been approved as EFM Candidates for overseas service! This achievement marks a significant milestone as our first household to be approved for our Five-Year Goal that is fueled by the Luke 10 Initiative. Their approval is a testament to the prayers, support, and dedication of our regions. Additionally, I’m delighted to share that the Liddell family is the first household to receive the first $15,000 of the $195,000 raised last year for pre-field training as part of our 60th Anniversary Celebration. Let’s offer praise and gratitude to God for this wonderful news!
Coming from Northwest Yearly Meeting, Fred and Jonelle have been invaluable members of our EFM family, embodying dedication and fervor in their service to the Lord. They are members of our family of churches and have actively participated in various ministries while demonstrating a profound commitment to serving the Lord. Jonelle has dedicated herself as a stay-at-home mom, while Fred is currently working as a Systems Analyst.
Both Fred and Jonelle have felt a strong calling to serve overseas. They have diligently prepared themselves spiritually, emotionally, and practically for this endeavor. Jonelle has expressed a particular interest in serving in the Balkans region, including countries such as Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia. While they have also indicated a preference to serve in Greece, they remain open to going wherever the EFM Board discerns is the best fit.
