Dear Evangelical Friends,
We are excited to share with you the news that baby Carpenter has arrived! Please join us in praise and celebration as their family has grown from four to five!
Below is the announcement from The Carpenter Family:
Dear Friends and Family,
We are very excited to tell you more about our new baby boy. He was born on Monday, March 16th at 12:08pm. He weighed 4kg (8.8 lbs) and was 52cm (20.4in.) long.
In Rwandan culture we typically have a naming ceremony for a few friends and family to meet the baby and each one offers a name for him. Unfortunately at this time, it is not possible to have a gathering in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
Therefore, we have decided to name our baby boy ourselves.
His name is Ian Tuyishime Carpenter.
Ian (which means “YAHWEH [the Lord] is gracious”) – Ian is an English variant of the Greek name for John. In Greek John is spelled Ioannes.
Tuyishime is a Kinyarwanda name which means “let us praise the HIM [Lord]” (pronounced too-yee-SHEE-may)
We are very thankful to announce to the world that “the Lord is full of grace, therefore, let us praise and thank and worship Him!” Please join us in praising the Lord for His grace and goodness!
Brad
