EFC-ER is looking for individuals, couples, or families to serve as pioneer missionaries in Dubai, UAE.
Here are some of the qualities we’re looking for:
A pioneering spirit: We need someone who is comfortable starting something new, seeking relationships and building bridges, taking risks when necessary, and pushing through potential barriers. Someone willing to plant a stake in this part of the world and seek ways to expand the reach of the gospel not only in Dubai but in the surrounding Gulf States.
A heart for the nations: We’re looking for someone who is comfortable in an urban, multicultural environment. Able to lead an English-speaking ministry but looking for opportunities among immigrant groups from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and many other countries.
Entrepreneurial: Our missionaries in Dubai will establish themselves in the marketplace or academy. They will need to navigate relational complexities among Muslims in government, secular leaders in the business world, and disciples of Jesus in the Church.
Gifted at developing leaders: We need someone who can develop and train local Church leaders. Organized enough to help form sustainable structures by which the gospel will continue to go forth to multinational groups in Dubai into the future.
We believe God has led us here to establish a foothold in the Arabic-speaking world and eventually expand to the surrounding nations, with Dubai as our hub. The opportunities for the spread of the gospel are vast. Dubai is a magnet for the nations, with local Emiratis, wealthy Westerners, and huge numbers of immigrants in search of a better life mixing together, all seeking something only Jesus can provide.
