EFM is excited to announce our new prayer initiative called “7 Fields, 7 Calls to Prayer.” This seven-month journey will highlight fields where God is calling us to send new workers, and we need your prayers to help prepare the way.
If you sign up to join us, you’ll receive a monthly resource that includes prayer points, stories from the field, and ways to stay involved. We hope you’ll use them:
- In your home with your family
- With a small group or Bible study
- With an existing prayer group
- And by encouraging your church leaders to share them more widely
This journey works in tandem with the Luke 10:2 Prayer Gathering—held on the second Thursday of each month at 10am Pacific. We’ll introduce the approved field (from our Five-Year Goal) we’re focusing on that month and hear directly from those preparing to serve there as well as those that are preparing the way. Our next gathering is Thursday, May 8—we’d love for you to join us!

Is it possible that God has an adventure for you in another country?
Imagine living your whole life never hearing that Jesus loves you. EFM is going to places where that is a reality. Often, these corners of the world are wracked with poverty, broken relationships, lack of education, social concerns, and spiritual darkness. Along with career missionaries, EFM is looking for people who can respond to these needs, even on a 1-2 year basis.
In fact, EFM invites you to redefine your understanding of what it means to be a “missionary.” Simply said, a missionary is a person willing to engage in cross-cultural ministry, using their unique life and vocational experiences, skills, and interests to live out and usher in the Kingdom of God. In today’s complex world, ministry requires people with diverse abilities – education, business, agriculture, hospitality, social work, medicine, IT and more. The key is a willingness to build genuine relationships. These connections – whether families, men, women, children, or youth – create fertile ground where disciple-making flourishes.
Begin the conversation today to discover how your unique life experiences and vocational skills can meet these important needs. EFM will equip you for cross-cultural service, training you in the latest methods for immersing yourself in a new culture, learning a language and developing the depth of friendships that flow into disciple-making relationships. Once trained, EFM also provides the infrastructure to support you, including prayer networks, training in fundraising, a ministry coach, and a personal care team.
