EFM’s relationship with The Way Foundation in Thailand is valuable in continuing the Great Commission work in Southeast Asia. The Way Foundation’s vision is to help establish a growing ministry that will continue to share the gospel, make disciples, plant churches and be connected to churches around the world, including those in America, for many generations to come.
We are excited to share this report from one of The Way Foundations Projects!
Indigenous Church Planting Report |
“That they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified” (Is 61:3).
There is much talk regarding indigenous church planting movements, which is good and exciting. However, it can, and tends to, overshadow the work of discipleship by way of bible teaching and spiritual formation. A quick and steady conversation goes something like this: “Plant as many churches as possible and as quickly as one can.” If one is not wise, the churches that are produced with this mindset will have the potential to be without gospel foundations and become unhealthy. The Way Foundation, however, offers a unique gift to the kingdom by way of its bible teaching program, which has the possibility to produce future indigenous church planters with a theological foundation. By God’s grace, may The Way Foundation be a part of gifting the universal church with men and women grounded in gospel realities for lifelong service in the kingdom.
The Way Foundation continues to meet, once a month, with six families who are serving in the local church to provide encouragement, bible teaching, and some ministry training. There is one couple, however, that stands out. This family has been looking for years to find a community to plant a church in, under their denomination. Their desire is there, but the location is not. Will you pray for Ca Suh and his wife as they are looking for where they should go?
Please Pray…
- For Ca Suh and his family, that they will find the right community.
- For The Way Foundation to better walk alongside Ca Suh and his family.
- For the bible teaching program, that it would produce healthy men and women to give their lives to unreached areas to plant reproduce healthy churches.
Thanks for your prayers and your support.
From,
Charlee Kunakorn
