The following story is shared by our Friends in Bangladesh and shows how one relationship was changed from your support.
M* was born and brought up in a Hindu family. He has faced many troubles in his life. He used to worship idols from his childhood to bring peace to his family. But things were not getting better. One day pastor Henry Kisore Roy went to M*’s house to share the gospel. Pastor Henry shared many things from the bible and shared his testimony about how he became a Christian. He also used to be an idol worshipper. He shared that he was searching for peace and the right path to go to heaven. Pastor Henry shared that Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). This word transformed Pastor Henry’s life and he realized he must accept Christ as his personal savior. After hearing this testimony, M* decided to accept Christ though all his other family members remain in the Hindu faith. It was a hard decision for M* to accept Christ. He made a public testimony of baptism along with other members in that community. Now he is a disciple of Christ. He is actively involved in reaching his community. So far, he has brought seven people to Christ and is equipping one person as a disciple of Christ. He wants to work for Jesus for the rest of his life. |
