Over the last several years, a dedicated group has been exploring and studying southern Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro. We have discovered a number of deep needs – war trauma, racial and cultural conflict, splintered communities, and a tiny gospel representation. Christ-followers in those countries – the very few that there are – have been praying for people to come and help them. It’s a bit of a modern-day Macedonian Call. (Acts 16:9)
We are excited that we already have workers working to go to the Balkans. Fred and Jonelle Liddell are in the process of raising money to go as soon as possible. This is an amazing blessing. If you would like to speed them on their way, you can!
There are very few believers in the region of southern Croatia, southwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina, and western Montenegro. EFM is sending a team to spread the Gospel of peace in a region known for centuries of conflict. They dream of making disciples and planting churches.
The Balkans of Eastern Europe was recently approved by the EFM board as one of the new mission fields that EFM is committed to launching as a part of the Luke 10 Initiative and Five- Year Goal. You can read about the 2024 Exploration Trip here and the 2022 Exploration Trip here.
EFM is looking for passionate families and individuals who feel called to serve as missionaries in diverse cultural settings. If you are interested in learning more about serving in The Balkans, visit here or view our “Help Wanted” flyer here!
