Romans 8:31-35 and 37-39
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?…No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Yes, nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. No Coronavirus, natural calamity, political instability, or financial breakdown. Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Let me share some of the ministry activities in brief.
North Bengal Ministry Field Visitation
We were able to visit church members in North from 1-8 February. It was one of our regular ministry visitation activity. We visited every planted church in North Bengal area. We had a very good fellowship time with most of our church members. They were very happy to receive us and encouraged by our care and prayer. We shared the Word of God most of the places.
Teaching Believers to Give Tithes and Offering
We are thankful to the Lord that we were able to teach our church members to give tithes and offering during our ministry visitation time. Pray that they take this teaching seriously and be obedient to give generously.
New Discipleship Group Started
We were able to start another discipleship group from February. It consists of six members. We are using a guidebook name “Following Jesus.” This book is used for TEE (Theological Education by Extension) course in our country.
Church Land Boundary Construction Started
Thank the Lord that we were able to start the Sukhanpukuri church land boundary wall on 22 February after a long time of waiting. Last year we supposed to start, but suddenly Covid-19 struck the country, then cyclone Amphan, and soon after that flood came. We had flood for five times last year that never happen in the past. Therefore, we were unable to start the boundary wall last year. Thank the Lord that two sides of the wall have been constructed.
Motorcycle for Village Pastor
We are so thankful to the Lord that he has provided a Honda Dream 110 CC blue motorcycle for our village pastor Ramesh Biswas. Pray that Ramesh and his wife Jamuna can work mightily for the Lord and be safe while riding on motorcycle.
Man of Peace Search
After the Church Multiplication training, our lay leaders started to find out man of peace intentionally. It is amazing that they are getting man of peace in their own community. Pray that it can be continued and multiplied.
Literacy Group Sharing
Bible literacy is one of our best means of evangelism and planting house churches. We are sharing the Word of God with them regularly. Ask God to prepare their heart to receive Jesus as their personal Savior and the Lord.
House-to-House Evangelism
Our lay leaders visited non-believers house in their area and shared the gospel with them. Pray that the Holy Spirit give every disciples courage to share their faith with others.
Face Mask, Hand Sanitizer, and Soap Distribution
We are so thankful to the Lord that he has provided help to distribute some hygienic material at this Covid-19 pandemic situation. We were able to distribute face mask, hand sanitizer, 2 kinds of soaps, detergent powder to 200 families.
Sunday School for Kids Teacher’s Training
Thank the Lord for His mercy to organize one day training seminar on “Sunday School for Kids Teacher’s Training.” 26 persons attended from our Friends churches in Southern part of Bangladesh. We taught them how to lead and teach children. We gave a Sunday school class leading guidebook to every volunteer and sufficient copy of the “100 Bible Story Book” so that they can distribute those books to their children group.
Jesus Film Show
This is one of our on-going ministries as a pre-evangelism tool. We have now three JF teams and four more team will be added soon. They are showing Jesus Film and Mary Magdalene film in home setting. Our Friends team are now preparing a follow-up material by our own so that our JF team member can use us after each showing. Pray that it can be done properly and thoughtfully.
Santali Lay Pastor
We praise the Lord that after prayer for five years, the Lord has provided a Santali Lay pastor, name Albrecus Tudud, for our Baguan Friends Santali Church. Santal is a untouched tribe in our country and they have their own language to speak. We have 11 Santali family there. Pray that Lay pastor Albrecus Tudu can continue to evangelize and makes disciples in his own community.
