Dear Friends,
God has moved in a mighty way in Asia during Easter time. We had no holiday for Easter, yet we celebrated with evangelistic meetings and public testimonies of baptism with great JOY. Even though it was hard for people who were working, they took off work and came. Can you imagine a Hindu taking off work because he wants to go to a Christian Easter evangelistic meeting to accept Christ? Just amazing!
When the invitation was given in 20 of our areas, one Buddhist, one Muslim, and 52 Hindus gave their lives to Jesus Christ. God is giving us a tremendous harvest and we are very grateful in our hearts. Each one will have to pay a great price now for becoming a Christian so please keep them in prayer.
Here are some short testimonies from Easter meetings:
- After the meetings everyone sat together – Hindus, Buddhists, and Muslims – to have a feast of rice and vegetables. This is unheard of in the society of Asia where we serve. Only the Gospel does this.
- A women’s husband accepted Christ last Christmas. Since then, the wife has been thinking about the Gospel. She finally decided to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. Before she accepted Christ, she broke all her house idols and tore down her god’s pictures. She also wants a weekly fellowship in her home and has opened up her home for others to hear about Christ in that village. It is very very hard for a Hindu woman who has worshipped false gods for 60 years to come to Christ. Yet nothing is impossible for our God.
- A Muslim lady accepted Christ. She was discipled for months and asked many questions before accepting Christ. Now she is going to pay a big price for becoming a Christian. Please pray for her.
