We are excited to gather together as the worldwide EFM family in beautiful Chiang Mai, Thailand.
The Worldwide Gathering is a unique opportunity to step away from ministry responsibilities and spend time worshiping, learning, encouraging one another, and building relationships with the worldwide EFM family. Whether you’ve attended many Gatherings or this will be your first, we pray this week will leave you refreshed, encouraged, and renewed for the ministry to which God has called you.
Purpose
The EFM Worldwide Gathering exists to strengthen and care for the EFM missionary community by creating intentional space for:
- Spiritual refreshment
- Worship
- Community and relationship building
- Mutual encouragement
- Learning together
- Rest and renewal
Registration
Registration Deadline: October 15, 2026
Everyone attending the Gathering, including missionaries, spouses, children, staff, and guests, should complete the registration form. Each household should complete one registration form.

Who Is Invited?
The following individuals are invited to attend:
- EFM missionaries (including children through high school age)
- EFM staff
- Regional EFM Coordinators
- EFM Board Chair
- EFC-NA Superintendents
- Field Coaches
- Event Speakers & Support
Missionary Children
Missionary children are warmly welcome, and we are making plans to have a special program for all of our missionary kids up through high school. At the same time, we recognize every family’s needs are different. If you would prefer to attend without your children and have other care arrangements available, please feel free to make the decision that is best for your family.
Spouses
Spouses of non-missionary participants are welcome to attend. Please note that EFM is unable to cover their expenses.
Schedule
The Gathering begins with dinner on Friday evening, December 4, followed by our opening session and worship.
Throughout the week we’ll spend time worshiping together, learning together, encouraging one another, and enjoying fellowship as the worldwide EFM family. There will also be opportunities to rest, build relationships, and enjoy the beauty of northern Thailand.
The Gathering concludes following breakfast on Wednesday morning, December 9.
A detailed schedule will be shared closer to the event.
Costs
Covered by EFM
EFM will cover the Gathering expenses for:
- EFM missionaries and their immediate families
- EFM staff
- EFM Board Chair
- Event Speakers
This includes lodging, meals, registration, and airfare.
All other participants will be expected to cover their own expenses.
Participants Paying Their Own Expenses

| Additional nights* | $47.50 per room, per night |
*Additional nights cover up to two adults, include breakfast only, and are subject to availability.

Purchasing Your Own Airfare
All other participants are responsible for purchasing their own airfare.
You are welcome to use Chauna at Vinings Travel (contact information above) or make your own travel arrangements.
Please plan to arrive in Chiang Mai in time for dinner on Friday, December 4.
During registration you’ll be asked to provide your flight information so transportation can be arranged between the airport and Horizon Village & Resort.
Passport Requirements
Please email a clear copy of the passport for every traveling family member to krista@friendsmission.com by October 15, 2026.
Important: Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your departure from Thailand.
Payment
Participants responsible for their own expenses should submit payment by October 15, 2026.
