Dear Friends,

Kids matter to Jesus. They matter so much, that he often works powerfully in their lives. For example:

• I know a young woman who made a commitment as a little child to pray for missionaries every time she heard a siren. That commitment carried deep into her adult life.
• I have a friend whose little boy takes part of his weekly allowance and gives it to support missionaries from his local congregation.
• Just last week, at a “Future Missionaries Retreat” a young woman shared that God had called her to be a missionary as a three-year-old. She continues to prepare in response to God’s call.
• These are just a few examples that there is no such thing as a “Junior” Holy Spirit. God moves in the lives of children, and it makes a difference for eternity.

EFM wants to help parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends of children nurture this work. Our staff, Kimberly Mer and Krista Alvarez, crafted this children’s devotional resource to spur on conversations about how God is at work around the world as well as in our families.

In the end, we hope that these devotionals will help deepen a child’s commitment to the Great Commission by praying, giving, and perhaps even going. You will find more information about how to use this booklet in both the Introduction and Afterward of this resource.

We are praying that many children will want to respond in generosity. We are collecting a Children’s Missions Focus Offering. It will be used to support our Five-Year Goal that is fueled by the Luke 10 Initiative – sending 10 New Households to 5 New Fields by the End of 2025. Please prayerfully consider inviting the children in your life to participate in this opportunity to learn the joy of giving.

We believe that God’s is doing immeasurable more than we can ask or imagine and are confident this work will pass from generation to generation. We believe this resource is a part of this process. May it be a blessing to you and to the children you love.
