Applications Due April 1, 2019!

Dear EFM Family,

As so many of you heard, last June I, Molly Black, had the pleasure of joining Elisabeth Harth from Easter Region on a trip to Rwanda, Africa. It was a grand adventure and wonderful pleasure to walk alongside her as she seeks the Lord’s will in the next phase of her life. In June of 2019, I will be hosting another Future Missionary Trip to Rwanda! Below are the details of the trip and some commonly asked questions. We need your help getting the word out to your friends and family that are considering a call.

What is a Future-Missionary Trip? It is a trip for anyone who is strongly considering a calling to career overseas mission work. This trip is for those who have been on a short-term mission trip or have other cross-cultural experience and who are looking to potentially serve on an EFM mission field in the future. It is for anyone of any age! That means whether you are 60 and retiring, 23 and discerning the next steps after college, or a mom of two young kiddos…this trip could be for you, if you are feeling a calling to missions. Also, it is important to note that you do not have to be called to Rwanda specifically. This trip is instead more of a chance to explore what it would look like to work for EFM and what an EFM field looks like.

What would the trip entail? During the trip participants will have the opportunity to observe an EFM field and see all the great work that God is doing in Rwanda already. They will also spend time observing and conversing with our East African missionaries, Brad and Chelsea Carpenter. They will have a chance to do a home stay in a local pastor’s home, observing the day to day life of a Rwandan Family. Finally, they will have a few days to retreat, discern, and process all God is doing.

What are the details of the trip? The trip will be three weeks long from June 5 to 28, 2019. It will cost approximately $3,300. This price includes flights, travel expenses, room, and board. Please do not let the price of the trip deter you. We will give you amble support and coaching on how to best fundraise for your trip.

What is the application process like? Participants will fill out a future-missionary survey (button below). Once completed, EFM will review your survey and then send you the application for the trip in your email. Once the application process is complete, Molly will call you for a phone interview. Then afterward, your application and interview would be reviewed for approval.
