Description
Discipling for Development (D for D) is used to bring Christ’s whole-life transformation to people and communities. Leaders are mentored through a process helping them come up with sustainable solutions to the problems they determine keep them stuck in poverty. When the love and power of Jesus becomes holistic, people understand that God’s message affects every area of life: economics, health, relationships, spiritual growth, farming methods, and the environment.
COVID-19 border crossing restrictions combined with economic hardships have created new challenges for whole-life discipleship coaches to stay connected with their group members, especially across borders. Phone data enables them to stay engaged in discipleship relationships.
A retreat with church leaders uses a problem-solving process to develop leadership to work through new economic crises they are facing due to COVID-19 shutdowns.
