Join David Thomas in Prayer for His Rwanda, Burundi and Thailand Trip!

PURPOSES FOR THIS TRIP:

In Rwanda I will catch up with some friends and meet with the D4D team on Thursday 20th.
In Burundi, I will participate in a mission-sending conference to encourage Rwanda and Burundi Friends churches to send their own missionaries into unreached people groups.
In Thailand, Scott Purser and I will equip the D4D team with the just-in-time training they need to move them forward in the Mobilization Phase with two churches in JaSawPa and JaTaw. Specifically, we will work with them deepening their understanding and use of Appreciative Inquiry, as well as teach them Obstacles to our Development and Root Cause Analysis, which they will use in the months ahead prior to our next visit. We also hope to present “God’s Redemptive Purposes” to the whole TWF team.

PRAYER POINTS:

Pray for my growth in moment-by-moment discernment of Holy Spirit’s voice and guidance on this trip!
Pray for encouragement for our Rwanda D4D team. We have 6 teams in D4D’s Mobilization Phase between us, including my Thailand team. Pray for the right just-in-time learning, for a growing understanding of how the process works. I look forward to learning from our Rwandan teams. (Mobilization Phase is where the community discovers and determines their discipleship curriculum, bringing together their resources and the obstacles that hold them back, and building the ownership and excitement to pursue this discipleship course together).
Pray for Rwanda and Burundi Friends leaders to catch Father’s heart for the lost, to join Jesus in their unique part of “go, make disciples of all nations!” Pray for clear steps forward in pursuing their growing missionary-sending vision!
Pray for my facility and ease in translation between Spanish, English, and Kinyarwanda. We will have 3 leaders from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador sharing how God has led them to send missionaries to Cambodia.
Pray for God’s abundant grace to be over The Way Foundation team, as they continue to move through their leadership transition. Pray blessing, wisdom, and favor over Chalee, Solomon, Majise, and our D4D leader Yosapa! Also, pray for unity and growth as a D4D team for Yosapa and Manat!
Pray for excellent translation and stamina for Achi Po, Jason Byers, and Julie in Chiang Rai, Thailand!
