Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!
My daughter, Betti invited Angelica Moore (EFM Short Term Missionary) last Monday to one of her English classes. They had a very blessed time together. Below you can read her report of that.
Every blessing to you all!
With love,
Tony
From Betti:
I invited Angelica to my intermediate English class, which is like an after-school extra class. There were six students there. First, we started with an introduction, then Angelica talked a little bit about herself and about her personal life. She shared her cultural and travelling experiences with us. The students asked her questions. Then I wanted my class to hear about Jesus and the gospel – as Easter (was) coming – so I asked Angelica to share her testimony about how she received Jesus. I really liked the way she did that because she was honest and kind. She explained the difference between being religious and living by faith. I think it was completely new for the students as here in Hungary if they talk about Jesus, it is the same as if you were talking about Catholic religion. So this way, they could hear about what it means to have a relationship with the living God. I also added some thoughts and there were some questions coming up, for example “why does God let these bad things happen on the earth” and things like that. I liked one of Angelica’s answers; someone asked what is considered as sin, and she said: anything that stands between God and you is sin. And my students seemed to be satisfied with the answer. I think they have never heard a definition for sin like this before. After that, I let my students ask one more closing question in connection with anything from Angelica. I think everyone enjoyed the lesson because they seemed very excited. After the lesson, I invited Angelica for dinner, we had a pizza and we had very good conversations in my home. I was very thankful to God that I could share the gospel with my students in school in an “official way” if you know what I mean. I am also thankful for Angelica, I like her and I think she is a very committed daughter of God. I am happy to know her. With love, |
