The Darkest Season in Nepal and the Most Glorious Light of the Gospel
Thank you so much for praying for us and supporting us. We are very grateful in our hearts for you.
As the biggest Hindu festival was approaching, we could feel the darkness and oppression rising. During this time we have to wake up with ringing of bells, blowing of horns and chanting to the Hindu gods. The Hindu temples are packed with devotees and animals are slaughtered in the temples and blood flows like a river. Oppression and heaviness grows each day for ten days of continuous worship.
During the climax of this time is when we have our Christian Evangelistic meetings. This time we had the meetings in 22 different area churches. Our churches were packed to the max as you can see in the picture. Some had their meetings in open air. We do our meeting during this religious time because we want to snatch people right out of hell into heaven. We drive out the forces of darkness by the preaching of the gospel and prayer. When we gave the invitation in our 22 areas, 104 Hindus gave their lives to Jesus as their Lord and Savior and became Christians. Rejoice with us as there is great rejoicing in Heaven. We are shocked and amazed each time what the Holy Spirit is doing in our area. Please pray for these new converts as they have to go through a difficult time of persecution from their families and tribe.
Jail Testimony:
One of our pastors has been going inside the jail to share the gospel. This time also during the Hindu festival he took tracks to distribute and share the gospel. He says the guards just stood there as he passed out tracks and shared the gospel and prayed for the inmates. 20 have already accepted Jesus Christ in that jail and 6 more are being discipled to accept Christ. Our pastor has said that there is a Nepal Evangelical Friends Church now inside the jail. Please pray for these wonderful brothers inside the jail who have become Christians. Paul said, ‘I am bound but the gospel cannot be bound.’ God has set these people free inside the jail.
Thank you so much for praying.
Blessings,
