Last Friday, October 13 we came to Houston from Wichita and met Julie. We are extremely grateful to Molly for driving us to Pearland. There were only two of us there, my son Edwin and I. My wife Metali was taken to the South Shore Harbour Resort and Conference Center to attend the Friends Women Conference. M. reported to me that it was awesome. 82 women attended this women’s conference from different churches. She presented our women’s ministry with them. After her presentation, most of the women came to her. They hugged her, encouraged her and many of them signed up as our prayer partners. She joined us in this house on Sunday the 15th. We had a nice time together. We played piano and worshiped together. We also joined our EFC Bangladesh prayer team at 10 p.m. each day online. I had time to write a “Thank you letter” to our partners and tried to contact friends nearby. Some responded, some did not.
We are thankful to Leanna Doherty of Come and See Friends Church for making a schedule for us to meet their congregation on Wednesday, October 18. This is an alive and growing church. They work with homeless people. In the evening fellowship, more than 40 people came to our fellowship. After our presentation, one man came to me, who was a street man, and asked can he pray for M.’s left eye. I told him, yes of course. He told M. to look him straight in the eye. He prayed a very short prayer of healing for about ten seconds, then he left. M. felt a clear presence of the Holy Spirit. From that moment, M. is feeling much better in her left eye. Praise the Lord.
On Thursday, October 19, we met with Friendswood Friends Women for lunch. Thank you Dora Kerr for arranging this good fellowship. Thanks for their prayers and financial support.
Saturday, October 21 was a very special day for us. Christopher Johnston and his wife came to visit us from Austin, in Pearland. They both have civil engineering degrees, and they love the Lord very much. It was about a three-hour journey. Chris went to Bangladesh about eight years before as a Saltshaker team member. They left their engineering job and did ministry-related work with the Christian organization. We love him very much and called him “Choto Babu” which means “little brother.” We had a brunch fellowship with them. They took us to a park nearby and showed us some places from his childhood. After that, we enjoyed “bubble tea”. It was really a blessed and memorable time together.
Last Sunday, October 22, we visited Lighthouse Friends Church. There we had a morning speaking engagement. Thank pastor James Barclift for his warm greetings and prayers for us. We heard testimonies from some church people about how the Lord is using them to bring people to Christ. The church is involved in reaching people in darkness. We pray that this church will flourish, and many young people join to expand the kingdom of God.
We need partnership to win the battle. As a missionary, we are always on a battlefield. We cannot fight alone. You are the one who is encouraging and faithfully supporting us by providing for our needs so that we can fight properly on the battlefield.
Regards,
A. and M. A.

You can support us through prayer and financial giving. We need and appreciate both so that we can reach 100% in both areas before heading back to Bangladesh. We currently have 715 prayer partners and have a goal of raising it to 800. If you know anyone who would like to pray for our ministry, please forward this form to them.
We are currently at 84% of our ongoing monthly need. If you are a current monthly supporter, thank you. It is important to let EFM know that you plan to continue or increase your giving. If you are not currently giving, would you please prayerfully consider supporting our ministry in Bangladesh?
