Rekha was a good believer in Christ. Rekha, her husband, and her daughter accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. She was suffering from cancer and a big tumor in her stomach. However, these diseases did not take away her faith in Jesus. She continued to tell her two sons and other relatives about Jesus. The people whom she used to talk to about Jesus, did not respond to her well. But she was not disappointed.

In September 2021, she passed away and a miracle happened after her death. Her two sons and two other relatives decided to follow Jesus. Four people in that area gave their lives to Jesus and many more have shown interest. A new house church has been started. There is an evangelist who is taking care of the fellowship. The four relatives and few others have made a public testimony of baptism.

Nathuni, a Dalit from the Musahar community of Gujara, is now an emerging small business entrepreneur. He came to Christ five years ago during an evangelistic campaign in Laxmipur. When he accepted Christ, his parents threw him out of his house and took away all his rightful family inheritance. He took his wife and small son with him and went to a church in Bhawanipur to get shelter. He grew up in Christ with the help of a local pastor who is also the chairman of the Rautahat CHE Committee. Now, Nathuni is an active member of the Eden CHE committee. He is also working among Musahar children by teaching them, encouraging them to go to school, and encouraging them to come to children’s CHE classes. He also plans to establish a small pig farm in his village. He has completed a veterinary course and is now practicing in his community. This help will get him started on a small-scale pig farm. 

Other preachers started training her to preach the gospel and evangelize. She started bringing many people to the Lord. During the Maoist rebel attacks, men were not allowed to go to villages to evangelize and hold services. But the Maoists would not stop women. B* used that opportunity in the midst of Maoist battles to go to many villages to encourage the churches and evangelize. The churches continued to grow under her and she discipled many people. She is a fantastic evangelist and disciple-maker. God used her in a mighty way to establish his kingdom in the midst of very difficult time.  

“Lakhinder was a 12 year-old-boy and goat herder when we first visited the village he lived in. He heard the gospel and accepted Christ when at 13. He stood for Christ even when his whole family was against him. This made him strong in the Lord. He started attending Sunday School that we were teaching. He was very interested in the word and learned all the stories.

When he was 16, he started going out with us to the villages to preach the Gospel. Lakhinder was very interested in God’s call for his life. He did this for two years and followed me and learned how to preach to the Hindus and preach in church. He felt God’s call and joined the leader’s team when he was 19. He has been very faithful and consistent in his walk with the Lord.

He went through many persecutions and still stood for the Lord. Now he is 32 years old and is one of our wonderful pastors and has planted four churches. Lakhinder has brought many Hindus to the Lord and has changed his whole society around him for Christ. “

“Rakhi Das was born and raised in a Hindu family and married a Hindu man. She led idol worship in her family every morning and evening. It became a habitual practice in her life, but she was not satisfied. Krisna thought she might not be satisfying her god’s properly, so she became more diligent in worshiping idols. Still, her life was full of anxiety and fear. One day she read in Gita (holy book for Hindu) that God Krisna said he came to destroy sinners and save the righteous. Rakhi was convinced that every bad thing was happening because of her sin.

One day one of our Friends lay Pastors, Joydeb Mollik, shared Jesus with her. Joydeb was also a Hindu man before and shared his testimony with her how his life was changed. He boldly declared that Jesus changed his life and saved him from death. Now his life is full of joy and peace. Rakhi requested Joydeb to come again when her husband was home. Rakhi shared everything she heard with her husband. Two days later, they invited Joydeb to come to their house again. Joydeb, along with his disciple, Alip, went to her house. They shared many things about Jesus and showed the Jesus film. Some other family members also watched the film. They gave them an opportunity to receive Christ as their Savior. Rakhi and her husband first came to receive Christ. Her life was totally changed. She said, “I have no fear at all now and I know that Jesus is with me always.”

Rakhi is now leading a women group of 12 and sharing Bible stories with them regularly. She mainly asks women to come to her group and pray to Jesus. Jesus is answering their prayers. Her faith is now increasing. Pray that Rakhi can be used very powerfully in her area and more multiplying church can be planted.”
