EFM needs businesspeople in our mission of disciple-making. One to two years abroad, or ongoing 4-year-term career service opportunities. You may need to redefine “missionary!”

For all missionaries, the major task is building relationships. People in business have an instant and wide range of relationships and connections. People in business contribute to the community and are well-received. People in business gain access to visas, including those for closed countries.

EFM has committed to pioneering new fields in at least seven countries. In every case, people with entrepreneurial gifting are needed, and in some cases, starting a business is expected. From farm and land development to camp and retreat centers. From new medical clinics to professional training services. From consulting and guiding other missionaries in business to providing consultation to the marketplace.

EFM is partnering with Global Disciples to train volunteers to deliver their Small Business Development (SBD) curriculum to the field. • Access in new fields: Nurses, doctors, and others with experience in medical care or caregiving professions are a tremendous asset in a variety of roles and possibilities.  Help is needed to access and immerse oneself in new communities to serve and create a disciple-making presence.
• Nursing: Communities respond well to a trained nurse.  A trusted medical professional in the neighborhood breaks down barriers for friendship and opportunities to discuss faith. Life-changing conversations can start with a blood pressure check from a nurse in the neighborhood.
• Health Clinics: Many communities where EFM is working have poor access to medical care. A significant asset to a mission is creating a source for healthcare through a health clinic, whether a simple home clinic or a more formal clinic. EFM missionary teams gain access to families seeking wellness checks, treatment for illness or injuries, healthy living instruction, or illness prevention. A health clinic also helps legitimize the presence of a mission to the community and government.

Registration is now open for EFM’s annual Future Missionary Retreat! Join us whether it be your first time or fifth time as a part of the community together in this journey! The retreat will be from May 26 – May 29, 2025, at Quaker Ridge Camp and Conference Center, Woodland Park, Colorado. The retreat begins with dinner Monday evening, May 26 and ends with lunch at noon on Thursday, May 29. EFM covers half your travel costs and all registration costs.

Access in new fields: Teachers are a tremendous asset in a variety of roles and possibilities. Help is wanted to immerse oneself in new communities to serve and create a disciple-making presence.

English teachers: English learning is highly sought after in most of the countries where EFM is working. Teaching English serves a need and a friendship with students who may have never understood that Jesus loves them.

Teachers Needed in Rwanda: EFM is seeking teachers to serve at an international school in Rwanda, where EFM missionary children are enrolled. Elementary and secondary teachers in all subjects beginning fall 2025. Secondary teachers in math or science are needed.

EFM is excited to announce that we have launched a Disciple-Making Apprenticeship opportunity for future missionaries! This apprenticeship is in partnership with North County Project (NCP) in Southern California and will provide opportunities for further training, experience, and discernment for missionary service. NCP Apprentices focus on sharing their faith and making disciples on college campuses or other strategic locations together with an experienced mentor.
