Sarkar Deputation Update #3

D.K. and Choity Sarkar have been in the U.S. just over two months and have enjoyed connecting with their supporters face-to-face and also meeting new supporters. So far they have been in the Pacific Northwest and Indiana. Now they are in Colorado and have already visited churches in Denver, Lamar, Hasty, and Paonia. This weekend they will be in Colorado Springs and then go up to Quaker Ridge Camp for the National Future Missionary Retreat and the EFM Board meetings. As you can see, they have been covering a lot of territory and spending time with quite a few people!

In our last update we reported that the Sarkars and their ministry are 77% funded. That was a significant improvement compared to their funding status when they arrived to the U.S. However, that percentage has not changed in the last couple of weeks and the time is drawing near for their return to India. So, I encourage you, if you haven’t already, to let us know as soon as possible how the Lord is leading you to support D.K. and Choity.

Remember, there are two ways to support them: prayer and financial gifts. On-going financial gifts make the most difference in their funding status, but any gifts are welcome. It depends on what the Lord is laying on your heart.

Prayer: They are currently at 347 prayer partners of their goal to raise it to 350! Would you please help them reach this goal? Please share this link with anyone that you believe may want to sign up to partner with them in prayer – https://friendsmission.com/sarkar/.

Financial: D.K. and Choity are at 77% of their ongoing monthly support and will need to raise it to 100% before going back to India in June. If you are a current monthly supporter, thank you. It is important to let them know that you plan to continue or increase your giving. If you are not currently giving, would you prayerfully consider joining their financial partner team? There are four ways to give:

  • Online. Visit https://catalog.friendsmission.com/sarkar. You’ll be given the opportunity to indicate whether you are making a recurring or one-time gift.
  • Credit Card. This may be given online (as stated above) or by calling the EFM office (303-421-8100) to give your information to a live person.
  • Automatic Bank Transfer. Download the form here and email it to Debby McElroy (EFM Bookkeeper) at debby@friendsmission.com. Please note that ACH payments are processed on the 10th or 25th of the month.
  • Check. Mail a check to EFM, P.O. Box 771139, Wichita, KS 67277. Make sure to mark your check “Sarkar Support” and note if you will be giving on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.). Pay to the order of “EFM.”
