We have been receiving requests for help from our missionaries and national leaders, and we are anticipating more requests. So far they mostly focus on food.

	From Bangladesh: Praise God that most of our believers’ families have started house churches because of restrictions from the government. If there is no Coronavirus attack, they might not have started any house churches in those families.
	From Northern India: K. has been having a lot of medical questions lately. She helps the best she can, but there is not always an answer to give. We always pray with the people who come to see her for medical advice and are thankful for the opportunities these moments present. Please pray for her and for those that seek her advice and go on to doctors!
	From the Philippines: Praise God that we continue to meet through social media, live streams with worship service broadcast weekly. We have all found ways to reach out to our neighbors. Our unintentional garden has been a source of fresh vegetables to at least six families. This has been an important source of nutrition because the government only supplies these families with rice and cans of sardines and other tins of meat, almost no fruit or vegetables.
	From Rwanda: Tertullien is thankful for the opportunity to focus on discipling his children at home during this crisis. His girls (four of his own plus two others staying with them) appreciate learning from many of the D4D (Discipling for Development) lessons.

Como podrás imaginar, hemos estado al tanto de las noticias mundiales a diario para ver cómo la propagación de COVID-19 está afectando a los países donde están sirviendo nuestros misioneros de EFM. Esto juntamente con las noticias que estamos recibiendo directamente de nuestros misioneros y líderes nacionales, pinta una imagen de bloqueos prolongados, pérdida de ingresos para millones de personas, hambre generalizada y disturbios sociales. Cuando las iglesias no pueden reunirse para adorar, no se reciben ofrendas, y eso tiene un gran impacto financiero en los pastores.

Los gobiernos están haciendo todo lo posible para ayudar con algunas de las necesidades básicas, pero, según lo que estamos escuchando, esta ayuda no llega muy lejos. Afortunadamente, los Amigos Evangélicos en algunos de estos lugares han visto las necesidades y han tomado medidas para ayudar a los creyentes y no creyentes por igual. EFM ha podido apoyar algunos de sus esfuerzos a través de fondos de emergencia en reserva y también fondos que fueron designados para actividades y programas que ya no pueden llevarse a cabo según lo planeado. Ahora es evidente que nuestros hermanos y hermanas en Cristo podrían necesitar mucha más ayuda de nuestra parte para llegar a familiares, amigos y vecinos.

Puede que tú mismo estés experimentando alguna pérdida de ingresos. Esperamos que no pases hambre. Cualquiera que sea tu situación, oramos que, como tus hermanos y hermanas en Cristo en otros continentes, puedas tu hacer algo para ayudar a quienes te rodean. ¿Y qué pasa con las personas que viven en países como India y Nepal? ¿Estás en condiciones de ayudarlos también? Whatever your situation we pray that you, like your brothers and sisters in Christ on other continents, are able to do something to help those around you. What about people who live in countries like India and Nepal? Are you in a position to help them too? If so, please click on the donate button below and send your gift on its way.

In the coming weeks we look forward to sharing with you through occasional updates how the relief efforts are going. Please pray for wisdom for our missionaries and national leaders as they work through the logistics of distributing aid within the legal restrictions that have been implemented for everyone’s safety.

I find myself using this prayer request from the Lord’s Prayer more often these days: Give us this day our daily bread. I pray it for myself, for you, and for people around the world. At the same time I want to be a part of the answer to that prayer. I trust that you do too.
