Luke 10 Think Tanks help discern where to look for potential new fields and also what steps to take in launching those new fields once they’ve been approved by the EFM Board. During the think tanks there is lots of prayer, reading Luke 10, looking for themes voiced by the four types of participants, and discerning the leading of the Holy Spirit in regards to how to move forward with plans.
The next national EFM Luke 10 Think Tank will be held in June 2021. At least 10 potential sites for new fields will be identified at that time. Before that think tank meets, however, each region/yearly meeting is being asked to host a Luke 10 Think Tank in order to consider their region’s strengths, resources, passions, context, partnerships, and experience in missions. Out of these regional think tanks, recommendations will emerge for the national Luke 10 Think Tank in regard to possible sites to explore. As regions compare notes, make observations, and discern priorities for exploration at the national think tank, plans will develop for making Luke 10 Trips to ten potential sites before November 2022.
