\"\"<\/a>The author of Hebrews describes those who died in faith, who \u201cknew that they were aliens and strangers on the earth\u201d<\/em> (Hebrews 11:13).\u00a0As we sort, pack, donate, clear, clean and prepare for several months of travel\/training and then our move to Croatia, we feel this verse in new ways.\u00a0Strangers, and yet also part of the family of God in each place we go.\u00a0Homeless, but at home in the body of Christ.<\/p>\n

\"\"Right now, life feels like a whirlwind, and there is too much to describe it all here.\u00a0Our time with Rocky Mountain Yearly Meeting was a lot of fun, making new friends and getting to know some friends better. \u00a0This continued with the Future Missionary Retreat, and we are so excited to see how God leads these others who are seeking his direction!\u00a0We had good fellowship and prayer time throughout this week, extending into the EFM spring board meetings.\u00a0Then a too brief visit with some of my childhood friends, and a fun morning at Denver Friends Church.\u00a0Each night, I expected all of us to be exhausted and drained in the morning.\u00a0Each morning, we woke up with increased energy and excitement.\u00a0This busy respite was so needed!\u00a0We topped the trip off with a drive home through western Colorado, a visit to Arches National Park, a night with my brother\u2019s family, and so much beauty throughout the drive that we were amazed.<\/p>\n

\"\"Now we\u2019re in the last stretch, preparing to list our house and head out on the road.\u00a0June 27 is our departure date, it\u2019s coming quicker than we\u2019re ready for, but we\u2019re excited too!\u00a0It has been amazing to see how God is meeting needs through local believers whom we don\u2019t even know, and to receive the help of so many family and friends with various aspects of the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"One highlight of our time in Colorado was a visit to the Dinosaur Museum with some of the future missionaries.\u00a0Alex is still telling people about it and can\u2019t wait for the next one we find. He is a good encourager, \u201cMommy, look at Jael, she climbed the ladder! Good job, Jael!\u201d Jael has finally started answering when people ask, \u201cWhat is your name?\u201d and has begun asking the question herself, multiple times a day, to everyone around her.\u00a0 \u201cMommy, what\u2019s your name?\u00a0What\u2019s his name (pointing to Alex)? \u2026\u201d. They are both loving warmer weather, with barefoot play in the front yard.<\/p>\n
