The following story is shared by our Friends in Rwanda and shows how a life was impacted by your support!<\/header>\n

\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/span>Pacient<\/span> is being discipled by a pastor from the Evangelical Friends Church of Burundi<\/span>. <\/span>Pacient<\/span> says that<\/span> the pastor there <\/span>has woken up the leaders in the church to have good relationships with God, themselves, others, and creation<\/span>. Through these lessons, <\/span>Pacient<\/span> and his family have <\/span>been able to grow<\/span> y <\/span>develop<\/span> holistically.<\/span> Pacient<\/span> and his family have<\/span> learned to <\/span>take <\/span>charge<\/span> y\u00a0improve <\/span>things by using their own <\/span>energy,<\/span> instead of <\/span>waiting for someone else to come and do it for <\/span>them<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span>He <\/span>has <\/span>joined savings<\/span> groups and associations to partner with others, which enabled his family to move out of their rental house and build their own house. They moved in even though <\/span>it\u2019s<\/span> not <\/span>finished<\/span> in order to<\/span> save money on rent<\/span> y <\/span>continue to work <\/span>on<\/span> their house. They also bought animals to have manure for fertilizer, enabling them to improve their farming, especially in family banana plants. <\/span>Pacient<\/span>,<\/span> his wife<\/span>,<\/span> and his children are living in peace together. Their neighbors are seeing the changes in their family and livelihood and are beginning to ask what happened. They are starting to learn how to do some of these things from them.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>
