This is the yearly meeting that John and Sangi Vanlal started just over 25 years ago along with Amen and several other leaders. There are approximately 40 churches in this yearly meeting and they are located in many different areas of Nepal.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div>\n<p>Nowadays Kathmandu is being most affected by COVID-19. The death rate is also growing in Nepal. Some of our church members have tested positive and have been healed. Three sisters from Kathmandu Friends were in a critical situation. The owner of the house where they lived demanded extra rent and they did not have money to pay. Some of their relatives lent them money so that they could leave the house. They had nothing to eat. They found a small zinc sheet hut to stay for free.\u00a0They had no soap to wash their hands after using the toilet. They came to the point of rejecting God. One day God showed a kind of vision to my wife, Rachel, about them. She felt led by the Holy Spirit to call them. She came to know that they were not far from the church. Without telling them we went to their place with relief packages (rice, 3 kinds of lintels, soya bean, gram, cooking oil, salt, noodles, washing soap, bathing soap, biscuits, tea leaf, sugar etc). They were losing hope and not expecting any help. Somebody told us that that same evening they danced and praised God. They said, \u201cGod is here and he saw our needs.\u201d The next day they called Rachel to say thank you. They asked, \u201cHow did you know about our condition?\u201d Now they are fine. Our pastor and leaders have to take care of them, providing health and hygiene materials for those staying in our church.<\/li>\n<li>Another challenge we are facing: If anybody gets sick it is risky to go to hospital. Many of us were and are sick but we are taking pain killers and taking some common medicine from pharmacies and just staying home.<\/li>\n<li>The ministry continues in these ways: worship services, prayer fellowship, youth ministry via Zoom, Messenger, and Facebook live. Our Bible training is also going well via Zoom and other social media. We are conducting combined worship throughout Nepal as well as pastors and leaders seminars and combined youth fellowship once a week. I am busier than normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Doing all these things, we are blessed, and many non-Christians are receiving the gospel.
