Queridos amigos,<\/p>\n

We are in a season of gratitude.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Among many other things, I am thankful for God\u2019s unrelenting diligence to his task of building the Church. His work in the lives of emerging leaders has been evident. It is a gratifying feature of EFM\u2019s purpose. And the Iniciativa Lucas 10<\/a> \u2013 to send at least ten new missionary households<\/strong> to at least ten new fields<\/strong> in the next five years<\/strong> \u2013 is discovering many instances of God\u2019s work in the lives of emerging leaders.<\/p>\n

We hear their stories. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Recently, a young man described his call. It came in two waves. The first occurred in a series of worship experiences with his youth group. In these, he became highly aware and overwhelmed by God\u2019s grace. Overcome with gratitude and emotion, Jesus\u2019 love won his heart.<\/p>\n

Later, he heard a missions leader repeat recent research (joshuaproject.net\/frontier<\/a>) which concluded that 25% of the world\u2019s population have almost no chance of hearing about Jesus from someone in their own people group. Reflecting on his own experience with Jesus\u2019 love, the young man became alarmed that nearly two billion have only a remote possibility to experience it themselves. He surrendered, \u201cHere I am, Lord. I\u2019ll go!\u201d<\/p>\n

Presently, out of the Luke 10 Initiative, EFM has a list of nearly one hundred potential future missionaries. EFM is committed, along with their local congregations, to help them discover God\u2019s direction, equip and send them to some of these very peoples. We do this through retreats and discernment trips as well as creating cohorts for training and encouragement.<\/p>\n

Jesus is calling the next wave of leaders. This is Jesus building his Church.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This season, as you ponder God\u2019s work in your life, our hope is that you will become more aware of God\u2019s love for you. May God\u2019s grace fill you with gratitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gratitude grows our soul and often rouses within us a big-hearted response. Like the young man, you may experience a compelling desire to share in spreading Jesus\u2019 amazing love. If so, please consider three options.<\/p>\n
    \n
  1. Ir<\/strong>. God surprises us and may be calling (even) you to go, regardless of your age or position in life. If so, we would love to hear from you.<\/li>\n
  2. Orar<\/strong>. When we want for others more than we can give them, we pray. A quarter of the world\u2019s population need a miracle to hear the Good News. Ask our generous God for it.<\/li>\n
  3. Send<\/strong>. Support these future missionaries by helping EFM discover, train and send these future missionaries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A year-end gift would boost this work forward by ensuring discernment and training opportunities continue.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
