\"\"<\/a>EFM\u2019s relationship with The Way Foundation in Thailand is valuable in continuing the Great Commission work in Southeast Asia. The Way Foundation’s vision is to help establish a growing ministry that will continue to share the gospel, make disciples, plant churches and be connected to churches around the world, including those in America, for many generations to come.<\/p>\n

Here is an exciting report on a Discipling for Development (D4D) project that the team in Thailand has been working on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
Holistic Community Development Project (April – June 2022)<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have taught a course on Discipleship for Development. There are 12 people who came to this training at Ja Saw Pa Village. The lessons that we taught in Ja Saw Pa Village are: the Swimming\/ Crossing the River lesson, the Closed Church lesson, and the Three-Year-Old Child Dies Lesson,<\/p>\n

A few of the strengths that we see from this project are:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • The participants were very interested in the lessons. We saw that they have a heart that wants to learn, change, and understand or realize the problems of their community.<\/li>\n
  • The participants apply what they have learned in daily life.<\/li>\n
  • The participants can begin to share the Gospel to others by themselves.<\/li>\n
  • Community leaders joined in teaching with the team<\/li>\n
  • There is one family that became believers by hearing the Gospel proclaimed from the community leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    A few obstacles that we see and are working on are:<\/p>\n

    • The participants cannot read and write.<\/li>\n
    • The participants cannot come to activities regularly, which makes some lessons difficult for the participants to understand.<\/li>\n
    • The participants have wrong understanding about The Way Foundation. They thought that The Way Foundation would be giving something (money or other items) to them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
