We are excited to share this report from one of The Way Foundations Projects! This report was shared by Charee, Director of the Pastors and Evangelists Training (PET) Project.

This is K*, a Lahu from Laos who had the opportunity to come to Thailand to learn the word of God and be trained through the PET (Pastors and Evangelists Training) program. He is very interested in learning the word of God. We just started teaching him in the month of July. We hope that after he completes the PET program, that he will be able to continue teaching his brothers and sisters in Laos.

• How God works in people’s lives to have their hearts active in learning God’s word.

• Help in making this man to be a disciple of Jesus who came from neighboring countries and will be able to return to teach in their own country.

We are excited to share a report about the latest developments for the Pastors and Evangelists Training program (PET) in Thailand!

PET Bible Training course has three groups at three different locations resulting in a total of 60 students.

The first location is in the city of Chiang Rai (which is open to those who are interested) and has 14 students total.
The second place is Nong Kheow Village (it is a church that has invited us to provide training for people in the village who are interested) and has 29 students total.
The third place is Nong Pham village (it is also a church that has invited us to provide training for people in the village who are interested) and has 17 students total.
There are more students this year because of the prayers of all the brothers and sisters in Christ who are always praying for this project. The graduated students from last year invited people they know too. This year’s students are seeing the changed lives of students who graduated last year.

During this training we have noticed that last year’s graduates have come and want to be involved in helping new students, some have even become mentors for new students. For example, during study time some of the graduates will help the new students by helping them find Bible verses, since some do not have much experience with using the Bible.

We thank God…

• That he has opened the door for us to have the opportunity to organize training for three more groups for 2023. Thank God that he gives people a heart that desires to know him.
• That the old students are still growing and are faithful in serving him. We are thankful that some still come and help new students in this training.
• For all of you who support this project by donating, giving advice, and praying for everyone involved in this ministry.

Please pray…

• For all students in their studies so that they will be able to come and study continuously and be able to understand the word of God.
• For the teachers to have good health so they can teach all year round.

The following are testimonies from students who participated in EFM Thailand’s Pastors and Evangelists Training (PET).

Most of the students are people who grew up from Christian families. They had the opportunity to learn the word of God and grow up in the church. Most of them are already married now and have their own family. And all students participated in various church services. For example, some of them served in church accounting. Some teach children in the church. and some of them are on committees in the church.

When listening to the reasons why they served in the church, almost everyone replied that
“if you serve in the church you will be saved, if you don’t serve, you won’t be saved.”
But now, after taking the PET course, they realized that if they didn’t believe in the gospel, they won’t be saved. Studying here makes them understand the gospel more clearly and learn the meaning of the gospel. “I feel very happy after understanding the gospel.” True salvation will be received through believing in the gospel.
