Sarkar Deputation Announcement

D. K. and Choity Sarkar have been serving with EFM since 2003 and lead a growing church planting ministry in the state of West Bengal, India. Their last deputation in the United States was about ten years ago. We are pleased to announce that they will arrive to the U.S. for deputation next week and will remain here through the middle of June. Their primary purpose on deputation over the coming months is to express their deep gratitude to those of you who are partnering with them in prayer and financial support. They also hope to find others who the Lord might lead to partner with them in prayer and/or financial support.

Here is their general schedule:

  • Oregon: March 21 through April 17
  • Northern Idaho: April 19 through April 31
  • Indiana: May 2 through May 8
  • Colorado: May 10 through May 28
  • EFM Board Meetings: May 29 through June 1
  • Personal Vacation Time: June 1 through 14
  • Depart for India: June 15

There are two ways to partner with D. K. and Choity:

Prayer: At this time, they have 272 prayer partners and have a goal to raise it to 350. Please share this link with anyone that you believe may want to sign up to partner with them in prayer – https://friendsmission.com/sarkar/.

Financial: They are currently at 63% of their need for ongoing monthly support and will need to raise it before going back to India. If you are a current monthly supporter, thank you. It is important to let D. K. and Choity know that you plan to continue or increase your giving. If you are not currently giving, would you prayerfully consider joining their financial partner team? There are four ways to give:

  • Online. Visit https://catalog.friendsmission.com/sarkar. You’ll be given the opportunity to indicate whether you are making a recurring or one-time gift.
  • Credit Card. This may be given online (as stated above) or by calling the EFM office (303-421-8100) to give your information to a live person.
  • Automatic Bank Transfer. Download the form here and email it Debby McElroy (EFM Bookkeeper) at debby@friendsmission.com. Please note that ACH payments are processed on the 10th or 25th of the month.
  • Check. Mail a check to EFM, P.O. Box 771139, Wichita, KS 67277. Make sure to mark your check “Sarkar Support” and note if you will be giving on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.). Pay to the order of “EFM.”
