Starting in 2012 Damascus Friends Church in Ohio (connected to EFC-ER) began supporting the Ben and Charity Kibbe family who were living and doing ministry in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Over time some of the Christian leaders the Kibbes were working with planted churches in Lahu tribal villages. There is great potential for planting more churches not only in Thailand but also in neighboring countries where the Lahu people live. Through a ministry called The Way Foundation, EFM helped support this church planting effort and missionary outreach.

EFM concluded its partnership at the end of 2025 as we focus fully on the new mission fields approved through the Luke 10 Initiative and the EFM Board. We are grateful for the partnership we have shared over the past five years.
